Ceramic Cow Productions participated, once again, in the annual 24 Hour Play Festival. And for the second time
in three years, took top honors. Here's how it works: 5 person teams are independently organized. Each team
meets on Saturday evening, September 8th. at 5pm with even organizers who will give each team a parameter. This may
be the first line of the play, or the last line of the play, or a prop. Each team must incorporate the given element
into their piece. After the quick meeting, the team playwright rushes to the nearest lap top and begins to write a 10
minute play. The next morning, the team meets and is given the play; rehearsals begin and continue all day until 5pm,
when the event begins and each team performs for a cash prize. The winning team is decided by audience vote and a professional
panel.
So the entire process from writing to rehearsing to performing takes place in a 24 hour period.
